Of Seann William Scott, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Anniston…

I have been watching a lot of great movies and a lot more mediocre and bad movies recently and obviously, I have to comment on some of them…

I’m not gonna talk about the Seann-William-Scott-type of movies because they are mostly wastes of time…(although I always end up watching one…I think I’ve watched more than ten Seann-William-Scott-type of movies starring Seann William Scott himself! Don’t look at me like that, the stupidity of the movies is too tempting to resist!)

On a random note: I went to Wikipedia to check for the correct spelling of his name…and guess what!!!I ACTUALLY HAVE WATCHED MORE THAN TEN OF A Seann-William-Scott-type of movies starring Seann William Scott himself!!!

Oh and his birthday is two days before mine!

I have a lot to talk about but whenever I set some time off to be in front of the computer to write a post, I will always experience the so-called writer’s block…So, I have a choice to either to about everything randomly or find a specific topic to talk about…Thing is, I don’t like writing things too randomly because it will be too random to the extent that it will become incomprehensible…

Oh wait…I was supposed to talk about movies…well, there’s this really good movie with a really good message which is called The Changeling, starring Angelina Jolie, my wife…

Well, the movie is quite heavy, but I like the fact the it exposes the corruption and the laziness in the Los Angeles Police Department…this situation is similar to that of the Malaysian Police Department…cause I know first-hand how disrespectful, disgusting, and dishonest these people can be…not that I’m saying that these people are not doing their job at all, but my previous statement certainly applies to the majority of those people!

Another movie is the ‘confessions of a shopaholic’…honestly, the movie was quite mediocre…but, the great thing about the movie is that it shows that being a shopaholic is a problem and it’s more of an inborn thing rather than a trait that is developed over time…(I think)...

so, shopaholism is caused by NATURE NOT NURTURE!

Wait, what I’m trying to say is, when you see a shopaholic, be supportive and understanding because if it were sooo easy to stop shopping, we would have done it five thousand ringgit ago…

I wish I was being funny, but I’m not!

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh and I have finally came around to watching ‘Definitely, Maybe’, another Isla Fisher movie…I prefer her in this movie rather than in Shopaholic just because I think the Shopaholic role should be given someone who is better at acting the cute-funny-damselINdistress-type like Amy Adams…This movie stars Ryan Reynolds, Abigail Breslin, and Rachel Weisz...

definitely_maybe

Honestly, I expected more from this movie because it is much-hyped about…so, it disappoints me that it is only heart rending in only a few scenes, but the scenes are not impactful enough for us to feel what the characters felt…

On a more positive note: The main character played by Reynolds went to University of Wisconsin, Madison, my alma mater…(ecewah…padahal belum masuk pun lagi...)

He even wore the university’s t-shirt and sweater…

(WAJIB BELI!!!)

The one movie that I surprisingly liked is ‘Marley And Me’…I honestly thought it was just gonna be a mediocre movie because it has Jennifer Anniston in it and I have yet to find a good Jennifer Anniston movie, but this has got to be her best movie yet…

marley

The movie is VERY simple…it just tells a story of a couple and their dog…it’s kinda like a blog, but presented in a movie format…which made me like the movie very much, because that’s why I like reading blogs at the first place: cause the storyline is sooo simple…Even though the couple is older than I am, I can honestly relate to their experiences and emotions; because even though I haven’t been through what they have, I know for a fact that I’m gonna through a similar experience like theirs…There were a couple of scenes that are so heart-felt that I can guarantee that you will at least be teary-eyed at least once…

(unless your heart is made out of rock or something!)

There were a couple of negatives though…I don’t think they should have hired Anniston cause she has no chemistry at all with the children or her husband…and she can’t act that well!!! And the wtf thing is that both Owen Wilson and Anniston looked the same throughout the movie when the thing is, the timeline of the movie spans over a decade!!!NOT EVEN A slight CHANGE OF HAIRSTYLE…So, it kinda lacked verisimilitude in that part…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last but not least, a definite MUST-WATCH!!! ‘P.S I LOVE YOU’

This is a GREAT movie with a GREAT storyline and although the chemistry between the leads was not really there, the emotions can still be felt…this movie made fall in love with Ireland and I know that it has affect others in the same way too…again, the storyline is simple, but that’s what makes it special…

You know, I read somebody’s blog last year, and the blogger said when it comes to writing: it’s not about using bombastic words; it’s about using simple words with great impact...

So, I guess, the last two movies I mentioned DID succeed in doing just that!
